Dragon Optical announced the addition of Chris
Abad as Dragon's amateur surf team manager. Chris has been a sponsored professional athlete himself on the Dragon team for the past six years and is a great fit to manage an amateur surf team. Chris joins Dragon from a professional surfing career and working retail at
Surfride boardshop. Both have given Chris the understanding he needs professionally and mentally to guide his surfing program. Chris also rides for Dakine, Bodyglove, and Chemistry Surfboards.
“Chris is the perfect match for the job,” stated Chuy Reyna, sports
marketing director. “He is a young motivated athlete that brings his “A”
game to everything he does. I'm looking forward to guiding him towards
excellence in our sports marketing department.”
In his free time, Chris enjoys playing John Madden Football and surfing his
favorite spots in Oceanside. “The AM team will be ripping so much harder now
that I'm in charge” stated Abad. “I'm enforcing the Atkins diet and Pilates
from here on out.”
