Dovetail Workwear, the women’s workwear brand, has tapped The Rincon Group (Group) as its newest sales agency. Founded in 2004, the Group, which travels the Rocky Mountain territory reportedly brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the new relationship. The agency’s history includes involvement in the 1997 launch of Arc’teryx apparel, five years with The North Face, Salomon footwear and apparel, Gramicci, and 11 years building the Mammut brand in the U.S. market.
“The partnership brings together two organizations with deep experience in apparel, outdoor, workwear and specialty retail, with a shared goal of expanding Dovetail Workwear’s presence with existing retail partners while opening new opportunities across the outdoor, farm, ranch and workwear markets,” the company said in a media release.
“Dovetail is a brand that we believe has tremendous opportunity,” said Bobbi Bensman, partner, The Rincon Group. “There is a natural connection between our experience, our dealer network and the Dovetail customer. We have the bandwidth and enthusiasm to invest in the brand, grow existing accounts and introduce Dovetail to new dealers that are a strong fit for the product.”
The Rincon Group reportedly works with more than 300 active dealers through its Darn Tough and Wide Open business, with a network spanning outdoor specialty retailers as well as a growing number of farm, ranch and work-focused accounts.
The agency said it fields a team that reflects Dovetail’s core customer, with women comprising approximately half of The Rincon Group team – and team members who are already familiar with and wear Dovetail product.
“We’re so excited to welcome The Rincon Group to the Dovetail family. From their deep roots in outdoor to their growing network of farm, ranch and work accounts, the synergies are everywhere. A team that already loves the product, it felt like a pretty natural match. We’re excited to roll up our sleeves together and see where we can take this partnership,” said Katie Copeland, national sales director, .
The partnership is effective immediately, with The Rincon Group focused on strengthening Dovetail’s existing dealer relationships and identifying new retail opportunities throughout its territory.
Together, Dovetail Workwear and The Rincon Group look forward to bringing more retailers and consumers into the Dovetail community and continuing to build a brand that works as hard as the women who wear it.
