Doug Martin has formed Blue Room Sports, Inc., a marketing and communications company serving the cycling and sports’ industries. For Martin, who has held executive marketing and sports marketing management positions within the cycling industry for over 15 years, Blue Room Sports formalizes the independent work he has been doing for the last 2-1/2 years.

“For some time now I’ve worked with a number of companies in a variety of marketing, communication and overall branding capacities including athlete and team identification and securing, team and venue sponsorship, co-branding partnerships, print ads, catalogs, PR, web initiatives and much more. I am fortunate to have a strong, industry-savvy creative group with me and I figured it was time to bring it all under one umbrella,” says Martin. “In this day and age when so many companies are trying to do more with less, or cannot devote or justify a full-time person(s) to specific targeted areas, it makes good sense to outsource select marketing and communication needs.”

As of forming Blue Room Sports, Inc., Martin has done independent work for Felt Racing, UBP, Hot Wheels, Troy Lee Designs, The Huntington Beach Conference & Visitors Bureau, The Home Depot Center, Velo Enterprises, Astro Engineering and others.
