Pure Fishing said CEO John Doerr will serve as Interim President, effective immediately. Doerr will occupy the post during Pure Fishing's search for a permanent replacement to Terry Carlson, who recently left the company.

Jarden Corporation President and CEO James E. Lillie made the announcement to the company on Wednesday.

“During this interim period we are confident that John's relationship with the Leadership Team, his experience, familiarity and knowledge of the business combined with his leadership skills will provide strong support, consistent with Jarden's DNA, in driving continued success,” Lillie said.

Since joining Pure Fishing in January 2006, Doerr's responsibilities have included global operations including manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, supply chain, information technology; quality, logistics, customer service and fulfillment. In addition to a wealth of professional experience, John brings to the position a passion for the outdoors and is an avid angler and hunter.

“Pure Fishing continues to be a world-wide leader in the design and production of quality fishing tackle and it is an honor to assume this role,” Doerr said. “We have great momentum and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with our customers and continue to bring innovative products to the global angling community.”
