Diversified, owner of The Running Event (TRE) and Switchback industry trade shows, promoted Christina Henderson, the company’s director of both venues, to VP of the Diversified Endurance Group, overseeing strategy of the Run and Outdoor categories. Genae Salinas will assume the role as director of TRE. Both promotions will take effect on January 1, 2026.
Henderson’s promotion comes after 10 years working for TRE, including the 2022 launch of Switchback at TRE and the 2025 launch of Switchback Spring.
Salinas, who has worked for Diversified for nearly seven years, previously worked with Henderson, leading marketing and communications for TRE and Switchback, during which time the venue expanded to include international-run specialty retailers, outdoor specialty retailers, and comfort shoe stores. Salinas was also actively involved in the development and launch of Switchback Spring.
As part of her new role, Henderson will also oversee the selection and integration of a dedicated Switchback director who will join Diversified in early 2026. Both Henderson and Salinas will remain directly involved in their previous roles during the transition period.
