Position Title: Director, Footwear Closeout Sales

Location: North Andover

Purpose of this position is to provide leadership and process excellence in driving profitability in our distressed footwear inventory management.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed all sales objectives including target sales goals for the season, and year.
  • Meet or exceed all specified distribution objectives.
  • Meet or exceed all specified profit margin objectives for this dept.
  • Plan and execute a distressed inventory business plan in accordance with corporate goals
  • Work in conjunction with sales management to set policy, programs, discount structure, and sales goals.
  • Work with demand planning and product teams to ensure a consistent and timely flow of closeout product.
  • Work closely with Finance and Credit to ensure our corporate objectives are met.
  • Develop a distressed inventory process for sales
  • Develop a accurate daily inventory report
  • Work directly with customers through account visits, trade shows to sell distressed product to meet our corporate shipping targets.
  • Establish relationships with key closeout accounts.

  • Building and executing a complete distressed inventory process
  • Executing product sell off to meet profitability targets.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of direct sales experience or closeout sales experience.
  • Strong aptitude for financial and business planning
  • Bachelors degree – MBA a plus
  • Proven ability to achieve/exceed sales goals
  • Proven ability to plan business and foster and maintain outstanding relations with customers and internal company personnel
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications
  • Proficient in Excel application.
  • Proven leadership ability
