Dick’s Sporting Goods announced plans to open a House of Sport at the CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin, TN, its first in the Greater Nashville market. CBL Properties, the owner of CoolSprings Galleria, announced the opening.
The House of Sport location is expected to open in early 2028. The developer said that a JCPenney closure later this year creates an opportunity for major redevelopment at the complex.
“We are pleased to announce that the first Dick’s House of Sport in the greater Nashville area will be located at CoolSprings Galleria,” said Stephen D. Lebovitz, chief executive officer, CBL Properties. “Together with the July grand opening of CBL’s first L.L.Bean and our recent land sale to Greystar to develop an upscale multi-family development, these additions are truly transformational for the property.”
Dick’s plans to open 14 House of Sports stores in 2026 and 18 next year, bringing the total to 67 stores at the close of 2027.
