Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. is being sued by a group of employees who claim they were forced to work without overtime pay.

According to Bloomberg News, the suit states that store managers required some employees to work
more than 40 hours in a week. Then the following week they had to put in for
“retro pay” at regular hourly rates rather than the required
time-and-a-half. Management also allegedly demanded uncompensated work after the store closed.

The lawsuit, filed in state court in Chicago, seeks class-action status for as many as 7,600 former and current employees. The workers are seeking the unpaid wages and an order barring Dick's pay violations.

The case is Gleason v. Dick's Sporting Goods Inc., 10- 33537, Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division (Chicago).
