Dick’s Sporting Goods set grand opening celebrations for stores in Quincy, IL and Gainesville, FL.
Both stores will open Friday, June 17 with the grand opening celebration running through Sunday, June 19.
The Quincy store (6006 Broadway Street) will be the chain’s 28th store in Illinois. On Friday, the first 100 people in line will receive a free Reebok Play Dry T-Shirt. Adults who are in line at 7:45 a.m. on Friday will get a chance to open the Dick’s Sporting Goods Gift Locker. Saturday and Sunday giveaways include a free Mystery Gift Card for the first 100 adults in line. Former St. Louis Outfielder Vince Coleman will make an in-store appearance from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The Gainesville store (3964 Plaza Blvd. Suite 20) is its 35th store in Florida. The store will be running similar promotions over the weekend. Quarterback Rex Grossman will make an in-store appearance from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
With the openings, Dick’s SG will have 468 locations.
