Dick's Sporting Goods signed an agreement with the city of Broken Arrow to receive economic incentives to build its first store in Oklahoma, according to a report in the Broken Arrow Ledger.

The agreement calls for the city of Broken Arrow to pay as much as $900,000 in “project-related development incentives” to Dick's SG through money from
the Broken Arrow Economic Development Authority.

It also would give the chain a 1.5 percent sales tax rebate up to
$90,000 a year for 10 years. The agreement caps overall payments at
$900,000.

The chain would construct and operate the store but must reimburse the
city for its incentives if the store fails to operate for at least 10
years.
