Scott Dickey has been named president of TransWorld Media, effective May 8. In this newly created position, Dickey will oversee the continued growth and multimedia expansion of TransWorld, a leading action sports media company with brands including TransWorld SKATEboarding, TransWorld SNOWboarding, TransWorld SURF, Ride BMX, BMX Business News, TransWorld Motocross, QUAD Off-Road, and the action sports industries’ number one trade title, TransWorld Business.

Dickey, 39, joins TransWorld from K2 Inc., where he had served since 2004 as President of K2 Licensed Products Inc. as well as President of K2 Properties. Previously, he had served since 2001 as President and COO of Fotoball USA, Inc, a sports and entertainment marketer and manufacturer specializing in licensed sporting goods, which K2 acquired.

Dickey has also held top executive posts at leading entertainment and sports entities, including: COO/SVP of Business Development for Sundance; Director of Sales and Marketing at Disney Regional Entertainment, where he managed the development and launch of ESPN Zone; Director and Group Manager of Marketing and Sales for the National Basketball Association; and Business Manager of Team Sports at Spalding Sports Worldwide.

Dickey, who holds a B.A. from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, began his career in advertising at Lord Geller, a former WPP agency. He currently resides in Encinitas, CA with his wife and young son.
