Descente reported that total consolidated net sales declined 5.2% to ¥77.0 billion ($770 mm) for the fiscal year ended March 31, compared to net sales of ¥81.3 billion ($714 mm) in the prior year. Operating income declined 5.6% to ¥4.27 billion ($43 mm) in the most recent year, compared to ¥4.52 billion ($40 mm) in the previous year.
Net income Increased 8.0% to ¥2.20 billion ($22 mm) for the year ended March 31, 2009 from ¥2.04 billion ($18 mm) in the prior year period.
Looking ahead, Descente sees consolidated net income of ¥1.0 billion on net sales of ¥38.0 billion for the first half the current fiscal year and net income of ¥2.0 billion on net sales of ¥78.0 billion for the year.
