Ouray Sportswear was named the 2011 Small Business of the Year today by the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce.
Ouray (pronounced Yü-ray) Sportswear was selected out of a group of 13 nominees in the category which recognizes businesses with fewer than 250 employees and less than $100 million in revenue. The Chamber selection committee conducted extensive on-site interviews with the three finalists prior to selecting Ouray. The awards ceremony was held at the Comedy Works South in Landmark Place and was attended by over 400 business leaders from the Denver community.
It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the Chamber for all of the hard work and effort that our employees have put into fighting through a recession and rebuilding what was a financially distressed business, said Jon J.
