Quality Bicycle Products will begin distributing DeFeet socks and cycling accessories beginning in September 2005.

Based in Bloomington, Minnesota, QBP is the largest parts and accessories distributor in the cycling industry.

The DeFeet/QBP partnership allows DeFeet to reach a broader dealer base than through its current force of sales reps. QBP sells to over 5,000 retailers.

“The powerhouse that QBP has become is the perfect mate to our successful independent sales rep team,” said DeFeet VP Sales Greg Demgen. “A dual distribution sales model is ideal for servicing accounts all over the U.S., especially for an accessory company like DeFeet.”

The partnership also allows dealers greater ease of ordering DeFeet products by placing online or phone orders with QBP, Demgen explained.

“DeFeet is a highly desirable brand,” said Nick Essma, clothing program coordinator at QBP. “Our partnership will help dealers meet the wide consumer demand for DeFeet’s awesome socks, warmers, and base layers.”

QBP will sell key DeFeet styles including the Woolie Boolie, Blaze, Armskins, Slipstream, Duraglove, Kneekers, and Un-D-Lite and Un-D-Shurt baselayers.
