Expert speakers and panelists, interested in presenting as part of Outdoor University at Outdoor Retailer, have less than two weeks to finalize and submit speaker proposals to Outdoor Retailer and the Outdoor Industry Association. The open call for Winter Market speaker and panel proposals closes Wednesday, October 31, 2012.


Sessions are aimed at retailers, distributors, sales reps, manufacturers and importers focused on selling products related to outdoor recreation and lifestyle. Past sessions have covered topics such as retail operations, product design, business and consumer trends, eCommerce, retail technology, technology shifts, visual merchandising, social media, retail sales strategies, retail business solutions, sustainability, business growth strategies, new business models, consumer trends, strategic brand marketing and more.


Outdoor Retailer, held January 22-26 in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the nation's largest trade event for the outdoor industry and hosted more than 21,000 event attendees during Winter Market 2012. Winter Market retail attendees represent independent and mass retail locations specializing in core outdoor markets including snowsports, endurance sports, climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, apparel, footwear, adventure travel and more, from every U.S. state and more than 40 countries.


SPEAKERS MUST: •Provide compelling, timely, relevant content
•Agree to allow Outdoor University/OIA to record the presentation and add it to the Outdoor University library (assuming non-proprietary content)
