Dead Air Silencers, based in Heber City, UT, has appointed Miles Mortensen as creative manager for both the Dead Air and Dead Air Defense brands. In this role, Mortensen will work closely with the marketing team to lead creative strategy and execution, overseeing visual and multimedia content.
Mortensen brings over 15 years of professional photography experience, beginning in 2010 in the film, concert, and entertainment industries. His portfolio includes work with rock groups Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey and Slayer. A lifelong firearms enthusiast, Mortensen transitioned full-time into the firearms industry a decade ago.
Most recently, Mortensen spent eight years in-house at Tier 1 Concealed, where he was the first hire to build the company’s marketing department and managed the majority of its content while also operating his freelance business, Ghost Mountain Group.
Mortensen officially joined Dead Air on January 12, bringing five years of prior experience as a Dead Air contractor.

His experience building brands, leading creative teams, and producing high-impact visual content will be instrumental as we continue to evolve the Dead Air and Dead Air Defense brands.”
