DBGI Corp., parent of the Avo, Bailey 44, DSTLD, Stateside, and Sundry apparel brands, has reported expanding its collegiate apparel licensing program to 22 officially licensed universities.

The current portfolio includes schools including Clemson University, Georgia, Indiana University, Louisiana State University (LSU), Ole Miss, Mississippi State University, and Texas A&M University. Management said in a media release that the brand intends to add up to eight more universities and will cap the program at 30 schools this season to “ensure flawless fulfillment and optimal execution across all university and customer touchpoints. DBGI/AVO is capping the program at a maximum of 30 universities this season.”

The company also noted that it is “finalizing agreements with its final eight targeted universities to reach maximum capacity”. The AVO collegiate licensing program expanded from a single campus pilot.

DBGI Names Vuori Veteran to Board
David Sosnowski, Vuori’s chief digital officer (CDO) from 2019 to 2023, is expected to bring “elite digital commerce execution” to DBGI’s leadership team. As CDO of Vuori, Sosnowski was credited with “architecting the digital infrastructure that fueled a 2,400 percent surge in annual revenue over five years,” the company said in a media release.

“David will directly oversee the entire digital experience, including optimization and high-margin customer acquisition and retention and rebuilding the entire digital experience. David and his team are already overhauling and plan to relaunch the website and digital marketing program before football season in less than six weeks,” the company continued.

“We are executing a highly aggressive, high-margin expansion strategy that fundamentally shifts our revenue profile,” said Hil Davis, CEO of Digital Brands Group. “David Sosnowski’s track record of scaling digital brands into multi-billion-dollar powerhouses matches perfectly with our infrastructure. Simultaneously, scaling our AVO collegiate program to 22 premier universities positions us directly inside a massive consumer market right at the start of football season. We believe this once again demonstrates that we are building short and long-term shareholder value.”
