The National Sporting Goods Association’s Board of Directors recently announced David Labbe as their Chairman for the next two years.

His term as Chairman began June 1, 2016. Labbe is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and the Chief Financial Officer of Kittery Trading Post, which has been a sporting goods fixture in southern Maine since 1938. During Labbe’s more than 29 years at Kittery, the store has grown from 20,000 to 100,000 square feet and from 100 to more than 300 employees.

Cathy Pryor joins the Board’s Executive Committee as Treasurer/Chairperson Elect. Pryor is Senior Vice President of Store Operations for Hibbett Sports. She has participated on the NSGA Board since 2012 and currently serves as Chairperson of the Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame Committee. Hibbett Sports, which started in 1945 under the name Dixie Supply Company, has more than 1,000 stores in 33 states. Pryor has been with the company since 1988. Pryor will serve on the Executive Committee with Labbe and Past Chairman Randy Nill (Nill Brothers Sports).
