Darn Tough Vermont named Shannon McKenna director of government sales. McKenna’s hire will grow the company’s focus on, and commitment to, outfitting the U.S. Military with its premium, made-in-Vermont tactical socks.

“As evidenced by the Army’s PEO Soldier-Certified Gear seal on our tactical socks, Darn Tough has a history of setting the standard for the capabilities of a high-performance outdoor sock,” said Ric Cabot, President and Founder of Darn Tough Vermont. “Shannon’s more than 15 years experience working with government and military partners will help us outfit more of our service men and women with the most durable and ultra comfortable all-weather, all-environment socks available.”

Prior to joining Darn Tough Vermont, McKenna was sales and marketing manager for Cleveland, Ohio-based Team Wendy, a manufacturer of personal protective gear for the U.S. military. McKenna joined the company in 1999 and held a variety of sales, administrative, and finance positions.

Darn Tough’s tactical sock line is designed to meet the demanding requirements of the U.S. Armed Forces by improving quality of life, increasing soldier safety, enhancing force protection, and heightening overall warfighter survivability.
