Dakine has chosen Northridge Mills to help produce its first women's swimwear line at its factory in California.
The line will hit finer retail stores this spring.

Northbridge is an experienced producer of competitive and beach swimwear with manufacturing capacity in excess of 100,000 units per month at its factory in Santa Monica, CA. Founded in 1958, the company has focused in recent years on broadening its capabilities in the surf and casual beachwear category.

The company's ability to provide experienced operators, daily work-in-progress reports and relationships with major mills, is resonating with brands looking for an alternative to overseas production. The Dakine win demonstrates the growing appeal of domestic production, including shorter lead times, easier production management, and competitive pricing, Northbridge Mill executives said.

Northbridge Mills is owned by Encore Brands, Inc., which was founded to create, acquire and license unique consumer brands. By leveraging a network of distributors and sales people, Encore Brands is creating and managing a brand portfolio that will be distributed directly and through third parties domestically and internationally.
