Cutters Gloves, the creators of C-TACK performance grip material, announced the addition of All-Pro Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles to its roster of world-class athletes. As part of the multi-year partnership, Charles will be wearing Cutters Gloves exclusively on the field. Charles will also be featured in upcoming marketing campaigns via digital, social, print, and in-store displays.

Charles is coming off a career year during which he amassed 1,980 total yards from scrimmage, earning All-Pro status for the third time. One of the league's most dynamic offensive stars, the six year back is generating numbers thus far in his young career that rival those of the greatest running backs in pro football history.

“While making big plays is certainly an important part of my job, there's nothing that's more important to a running back than protecting the football,” said Charles. “Whether I'm taking handoffs or catching passes out of the backfield, Cutters and its C-TACK material give me the confidence to stay completely focused on what's in front of me, without worrying about my grip. They're simply the best gloves on the market.”

Charles, the league leader in career yards-per-carry, is considered to be one of the league's top running backs, generating more than 30 percent of his team's total yards from scrimmage. A truly “all-purpose” running back, Charles is just as valuable as a pass catcher as he is in the backfield.

“Jamaal is an amazing athlete,” said Tony Armand, Cutters CEO. “His electrifying skills and commitment to excellence make him a perfect fit for the Cutters brand.”

Charles joins a growing Cutters Gloves athlete roster that includes other elite football professionals, including San Francisco wide receiver Anquan Boldin and running back Frank Gore, along with Washington wide receiver Pierre Garcon.
