Cutters Gloves, based in Phoenix, reached an agreement to partner with GreatCatch of Lafayette, Louisiana. Invented by Mark Weber and Lance Strother, GreatCatch is a training device that has been trickling into the football market over the past year, and garnering a great deal of attention. Cutters will distribute the GreatCatch training device through its large network of retail outlets in the U.S., Canada, and abroad.

The device teaches how to properly catch a football with your fingers, and is the only football training aid that guarantees the development of “Soft Hands” and fingertip control, which improve catching technique and consistency. Their technology is patent pending.

GreatCatch has been endorsed by Javon Walker of the Denver Broncos, and is being used by a growing number of pros such as Ahman Green of the Green Bay Packers and Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers. GreatCatch has also been featured on Sunday Night Football on NBC and SportsCenter on ESPN, and was recently selected by ESPN as the NEXT Best Training Aid for football.

“We came across a product that is a great fit with our line,” said Gary Bethea, Cutters' Director of Team Sports. “GreatCatch is innovative and high- performance — and that's what Cutters is all about. We are also energized by the passion and drive of Mark and Lance.”

“In addition to their strong international distribution, Cutters' focus on performance and high quality products is directly in sync with our vision for the GreatCatch line,” said Weber. “We're looking forward to becoming part of the Cutters team and developing the market with them.”

Founded in 1997, Cutters is a market leader in high performance sports gloves for football, baseball, softball, and golf, worn by elite players throughout the world.
