Crocs, Inc. announced its expansion into Puerto Rico with new store locations. Opening this month, the Plaza Las Americas store, located in Hato Rey, and Plaza Carolina store, located in San Juan, join the Barceloneta and Old San Juan locations, which opened earlier this year to mark its first retail venture into Puerto Rico.

Retail sales have played a key role in the company's growth strategy this year, posting a 35% year over year revenue increase in the third quarter of 2010.

“Puerto Rico is a great market for Crocs and a very strong footwear market,” says Doug Hayes, vice president and general manager of Americas for Crocs. “New stores are a part of our Crocs brand globalization strategy. It's important for us to not only strategically locate our stores in busy shopping districts, but also showcase our diverse product offering to shoppers around the world as our shoes appeal to consumers for their comfort, color and value.”

Crocs expects to operate more than 400 company owned retail stores in shopping destinations around the globe by year-end.
