Rod Bremer, who founded CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) 25 years ago, is transitioning out of the day to day operations with president Mark Schreiber assuming more responsibilities. Peggy Bremer, who joined the executive leadership team as CFO in 2004, is likewise stepping back.
“We’re stepping away from the day-to-day operations of CRKT and into higher level advisory positions sooner than we had planned,” said Rod Bremer. “We have been working hard for several years on our transition plan and frankly, we feel like we’ve succeeded. By bringing in the right talent to lead, run, and grow CRKT® to the next level, it has become very obvious to us that now is the time to move into the next phase of our business and personal lives.”

In their new roles, both Rod and Peggy will continue to work with and review the executive management’s long-term strategic goals encompassing product, innovation, distribution channels, financials, and markets. A newly-formed advisory board will welcome Rod Bremer as its chair.

“All said, this wouldn’t be possible without our complete confidence in our team,” said Rod Bremer. “President Mark Schreiber and the team he has assembled are world class.”

“It’s been one of the great honors of my life to work alongside the fine men and women that have given CRKT® substance, clout, and integrity all these years” Rod Bremer reflects. “We move forward into this next phase of our lives feeling very proud of what we’ve all built together.”
