Sportswear brand Craft signed a two-year contract with Finnish biathlete Kaisa Mäkäräinen. The partnership means that the world champion will train and race wearing Craft products and play a part in the development of new products.

“We are very happy to partner up with Kaisa Mäkäräinen,” said Craft CEO Stefan Persson. “She’s one of the best biathletes in the world and a great source of inspiration when it comes to sports and determination. She will be a great ambassador for our brand and an excellent collaborator in the development of our products.”

As Craft has a preexisting partnership with the Finnish biathlon national team, Mäkäräinen already races wearing Craft, to which she will add the brand’s Podium Leather Glove.

“For me it’s really important that all my gear and equipment are at the highest level. And in biathlon gloves are even more important than in cross country. You need to feel the trigger the right way and you must be able to handle the rifle and ammunition. At the same time your fingers have to be kept warm.” said Mäkäräinen, who won the 10km pursuit event at the 2011 world championships.

Craft is a Swedish brand specializing in clothing for endurance sports.
