Cotopaxi has hired Cole Baviera as senior national sales manager for U.S. Wholesale. Cole worked at Deckers Brands for 12 years, with his last role being Teva key account manager.

Baviera’s hiring is part of Cotopaxi’s wider leadership refresh. This follows several other recent executive appointments at the company, including Julie Menard, formerly of Teva, as VP of Sales; REI veteran Craig Rowley as chief marketing officer; and Sara Westbrook, previously with Marine Layer and J. Crew, as SVP of Product and Merchandising.

Additionally, Co-founder Stephan Jacob, who had held the COO/CTO role for 10 years, transitioned earlier this year into a new chief global/business development officer role. Last December, Lindsay Shumlas, formerly president and CFO, was promoted to CEO.

Menard said in a LinkedIn post, “Cole brings a wealth of experience, curiosity and passion to this role. The future is bright!”

Baviera said on LinkedIn, “After 12+ years working at Deckers, I am starting a new career adventure at Cotopaxi. Excited to be working for such a great brand and can’t wait to see what the future brings!”
