Core Health & Fitness has appointed Michael Bruno as CEO and promoted Paul Spann to Chief Operating Officer, Joey Osborne to VP of Global Sales, Marketing, and Education, and Geeta Boulenc to Managing Director for the EMEA.
Michael Bruno replaces Bryan O’Rourke. O’Rourke exits as CEO to focus on ventures including Vedere and FIT-C. O’Rourke had replaced Bruno, who continues as chairman. In 2023, Bruno founded the Vancouver-based fitness equipment manufacturer. The portfolio includes Star Trac, StairMaster, Schwinn, and Nautilus Commercial. The company was founded in 2010.
Paul Spann was VP, Global Supply Chain at Core Health & Fitness. Spann said, “Operational excellence isn’t just systems and logistics, it’s our people, our culture, and our promise. We’re aligning every part of our operations to ensure customers feel supported from first delivery to long-term performance.”
Joey Osborne was formerly VP of Sales, Americas. Osborne said, “Bringing sales, marketing, and education together under one umbrella lets us tell a clearer story and deliver a tighter experience, from first conversation to ongoing programming and training. That’s how we help clubs turn equipment into outcomes.”
Bruno added, “Core is built on two strengths: beloved brands and people who care deeply about customer outcomes. Our focus now is simple: be the most reliable partner for operators, from day-one installation to long-term member engagement. Our goal, as always, is to be the easiest and most efficient company to work with in the industry. I’m honored and excited to serve the team and our customers in the next chapter.”
In a LinkedIn post, O’Rourke said, “After two incredible years, I’ve decided to step down as CEO of Core Health & Fitness. “During this time, our amazing team grew revenues by double and EBITDA by triple digits, launched groundbreaking new products like the APEX console line with OTA technology, and continued to build on the strength of Core’s iconic brands across the globe.
“I am deeply grateful to the thousands of people worldwide who make Core what it is — our employees, distributors, partners, and most importantly, our customers. Your passion and dedication inspire me every day.
“This transition will allow me to spend more time on my other ventures and investments, including my work as CEO of Vedere Ventures, President of the Fitness Industry Technology Council, and as a partner in several other exciting projects and businesses shaping the future of fitness and technology.
“The past two years at Core have been an honor. The next chapter is just beginning — and I couldn’t be more excited.”
