Competitor Group, Inc. named Scott Dickey president and chief executive officer. He was previously president and chief operating officer.

In other moves:

–         Steve Gintowt will take on the additional role of chief operating officer. Gintowt will also continue to serve as chief financial officer;
–         Peter Englehart will continue as chairman and in his long-term role as an operating partner of Falconhead Capital.

Dickey joined CGI in 2008 and brought a brand of leadership and expertise that he developed over a 20-year career of managing high-profile global businesses. He was previously the president of Transworld Media, a former division of Time Warner, where he led the growth and multimedia expansion of the world s leading action sports media company. Dickey has also held other top executive posts at K2 Inc., The Walt Disney Company and the National Basketball Association.  As President of CGI,  he has been instrumental in leading the Company s operations and global expansion, from 16 events in 2008 to more than 58 in 2012, with the flagship  Rock  n  Roll Marathon Series now operating in 27 distinct markets.

Prior to joining CGI in 2008, Gintowt was the managing director and CFO of Triathlete Magazine, the largest triathlon media property in the world.  His 30-year career includes co-founding Active Europe Networks Ltd and Senior Executive positions with Gemplus, Unisys, Ericsson and General Electric.
