Columbia Sportswear reported that the company plans to open its first store in Scotland at the Livingston Designer Outlet, the country’s largest outlet center.
The space, which spans over 2,359 square feet, is scheduled to open on October 16, according to a statement from the outlet center, which also features stores from The North Face and Regatta Great Outdoors.
Marcel Miséré, Europe retail director for Columbia, said, “We’re seeing exceptional performance across our European and UK locations, with strong like-for-like sales growth. We’re confident that our new store in Livingston will contribute meaningfully to this momentum and strengthen our presence in the UK market. As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding our footprint across Europe and the UK, with several exciting store openings planned in the coming year.”
In 2024, Columbia’s Europe-direct distribution channel consisted of over 60 retail stores. The EMEA region also sold through 3,350 wholesale customers, including distributors.
Nicky Lovell, head of Outlets and Retail Development at Global Mutual, said, “We are pleased with the high-quality outdoor retail offering we have developed at Livingston Designer Outlet, and the arrival of Columbia adds to this significantly. The brand’s first Scottish store is an exciting addition for our existing and new customers, whilst it also aligns with our vision to grow our quality retail offering and provide added value within the center.”
