The Colorado High School Cycling League said its fourth and final race of the 2014 season   – The Haymaker Classic – drew 650 High School kids from 40 High Schools across Colorado and Wyoming to Eagle, CO last weekend.

“We are so proud of these kids and what they do” said Kate Rau, Executive Director of the League, “Every one of them races for different reasons, to podium, to beat a time, or even just to finish the course, whatever it is, they inspire us.”

The League, which is a 501c3 non-profit, received support from Optic Nerve, Yeti, Primal, The City of Eagle, Wheat Ridge Cyclery and Honey Stinger.

“The League couldnt do this without the generous support of sponsors” said Ben Lockett, a member of the league’s board of directors.  “These forward thinking companies see the league as a great way to get their message out to a young and active population.”
