Coleman Names New Sales VP

The Coleman Company Inc. has named Michael Bach VP of sales with responsibility for leading the field sales team and the food/drug and home channels.


Coleman’s field has been reorganized into three geographic regions to further strengthen strategic relationships with the company’s top customers and accelerate the growth of key Coleman and Stearns programs. The team will focus on key accounts within mass, sporting goods and other specialty channels and expand the opportunity to connect with outdoor consumers.


Bach brings a proven record of driving above-plan results in both entrepreneurial and large-company environments. He has a rigorous understanding of consumer products’ groups, honed by experience at Proctor and Gamble and Coca-Cola in the U.S. and Southern Africa, at Management Ventures, Inc. (MVI), and at his own consulting firm.


Most recently, Bach was COO responsible for global business units at MVI, a business-plan development and execution solution provider; and previously with the firm, he had been GM-EVP of the facilitated products group. He was managing partner at Bach and Partners LLC; and was director-channel/customer marketing for Coca-Cola in South Africa.


At The Minute Maid Company, he was managing director-channel development and director of Wal-Mart business. Bach began his career at Proctor and Gamble Distributing Company, where he was salesman of the year, and took on assignments of increasing responsibilities in unit manager roles.

Bach earned his B.S. in agriculture economics at Kansas State University.
