Cloudveil and its Midwest rep group, Pemba Serves, debuted iClinic, an alternative to in-person rep clinics.

“The iClinic concept gives retailers and floor staff the opportunity to download a podcast on a specific brand or product 24/7,” explains Brad Werntz from Pemba Serves. Werntz continues, “It allows our vendors to get the word out on their products while simultaneously providing a creative solution to issues in the current marketplace. Podcasting is a natural fit as clinic attendance is an ever-increasing challenge, employee turnover rates increase, and travel and payroll expenses are reaching an all time high.”

Stephen Sullivan, VP of Global Brand for Cloudveil, explains, “The potential of iClinic is unlimited. Beyond using a medium that the younger consumer clearly relates to, it also links technology to outdoor, building a relationship that has not traditionally existed.”

The potential of the iClinic ranges from podcasting brand messaging and product specific information at Point-of-Purchase to building a site for industry based video content. Werntz continues, “The great thing about iClinic is the potential and efficiency it offers. It is a dynamic form of interaction that allows retail store staff to access brand and product information on demand in an exciting new medium. How retailers choose to use it – perhaps by subscribing to specific brand feeds – to educate their staff remains to be seen.”
