Cloudveil launched an entirely new line of angling products, set for debut at the Fly Fishing Retailer Show in Denver.

Stephen Sullivan, Founder/Global Brand Vice President, comments, “We are extremely excited about the launch of a complete line of fly fishing apparel and accessories. Our ambition is to provide a new generation of anglers with the same measure of product purpose we have afforded the outdoor market, leveraging our innovative design and our longstanding relationships with technical fabric suppliers and cutting-edge manufacturers.” Sullivan continues, “As lifelong anglers, we've always wanted to delve into this market, yet we've been patient until key elements, like our partnership with Gore-Tex® in this program, came together.”

Originally code-named Project 8x, Cloudveil's new angling program has been more than two years in the making and is being led internally by Ned Hutchinson, Product Manager for the line. Ned brings extensive experience from a lifetime of fly-fishing and over ten years in specialty retail, most recently as the General Manager at Westbank Anglers in Jackson, Wyoming. Highlights of the new line include new Gore-Tex® Immersion® Technology/XCR® waders, Gore-Tex® XCR® and PacLite® jackets, technical Windstopper® fleece, ultra-light wading boots, proprietary InertiaPlus™ Soft Shell shirts and pants and imaginative fishing vests. An independent sales force has been hired specifically for the fly fishing specialty market and includes industry veterans, Brian O'Keefe/Northwest, Mike and Diane Atwell/Northern Rockies, Scott and Luisa Harkins/Southern Rockies, Cary Marcus/South Central, Allan Fici/Great Lakes, Bill Dawson/Mid-Atlantic, Brad Gauge/Northeast, Park Burson/Southeast and JJ Pilgreen/Alaska.

John Rounds, Director of North American Sales for Cloudveil comments, “We have great confidence in both our superb new product offering as well as this group of representatives, as collectively they work for some of the top brands in the industry. The strength and energy of our new line coupled with this group of industry veterans will make for an exciting launch into the angling waters.”

Cloudveil looks to mirror their success in the fly-fishing market as they have in outdoor – a youthful, innovative company that is quick to identify the latest technologies and trends in the marketplace. Sullivan explains, “Consistently we have found success in the ski and outdoor markets by focusing our development on the actual action of the end user, to such an extent that they lose themselves in the activity and the product just works. This development methodology is our guiding mantra and leaves the experience pure. Our headquarters in Jackson, Wyoming have once again served us perfectly as the testing ground for our new angling line.”
