Climb High, the U.S. distributor of the Mammut, Raichle, Ajungilak and ToKo brands, continued to see impressive growth for the Mammut brand in the second quarter. After posting a 36% increase in revenue for Mammut in the first quarter of 2004, CEO Bill Supple reports that percentage increased in the second quarter and now stands at 46% year-to-date.

“Our first quarter momentum kept right on going through the second quarter and our order book looks strong for fall”, said Supple. “We have aggressive goals for this year and so far we have every reason to believe we’ll reach our budgets in most areas. Ropes, the core of our business, saw continued growth in the second quarter and helped to push our results higher than at the end of the first quarter. Our harness and sling sales continue to flourish behind our Focus harness and 8mm Dyneema Contact slings. As well, Apparel finished the half-year a robust 82% ahead of last year and our order book for fall shows a big increase over fall 2003”.

“We’re excited for Summer 2005 and are looking forward to launching our new “Light & Strong” concept at OR”, added Supple. “Our summer apparel offering looks really strong – led by the Fly jacket and pants, featuring Gore-Tex Paclite stretch fabric with a futuristic shoulder and elbow reinforcement feature. We’ll also be unveiling many exciting new products in the mountaineering and multifunction categories from Raichle and sharing in Ajungilak’s celebration of it’s 150th year of sleeping bag design – making it the oldest sleeping bag supplier in the world”.
