Cleveland Golf/Srixon has formed a new advisory board made up of some of the most influential names in the game of golf. This new advisory board’s principal role will be to offer guidance pertaining to all Cleveland Golf/Srixon brands. They will offer advice regarding a myriad of topics including product development, distribution, merchandising, promotional, as well as general marketing issues.

 

The Cleveland Golf/Srixon Advisory Board members are as follows:

 

– Paul Earnest- PGA Director of Golf at Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas, named to the 100 Best in the United States for resort facilities. Member of the Section Board of Directors since 2006 and named PGA of America’s National Merchandiser of the Year (2004).

 

– Scott Hamilton- Director of Golf at Cartersville C.C. and one of the top teachers and most experienced fitters in the country. His club serves as Cleveland Golf/Srixon’s east coast fitting facility, where tour players and club professionals can experience the Cleveland Golf/Srixon fitting process on an exclusive outdoor facility.

 

– Billy Harris- Director of Golf at Dallas C.C. Harris is a long-time Cleveland Golf/Srixon staff member who is well-respected throughout the PGA. He is currently the Vice-President of the Northern Texas PGA and will serve as NTPGA President in 2009/10.

 

– Mike Leemhuis- National Director of the Club Managers Association of America and General Manager of Congressional C.C., which hosts the AT&T National and the upcoming 2011 U.S. Open. Congressional C.C. won the National Merchandiser of the Year for private facilities and is again in the 100 Best in the United States. 

 

– Mike McGetrick- Founder of the Colorado Golf Club, which was selected by Golf Magazine as Best New Private Course in 2007. McGetrick is also the founder of McGetrick Golf Academy, which was named by Golf Magazine as one of the top 25 Golf Schools in America. McGetrick is a PGA Master Professional, who currently works with PGA Tour players Brandt Jobe, Leif Olsen and LPGA players Juli Inkster and Meg Mallon. His students have won over 50 tournaments worldwide, including 11 majors. McGetrick was named 1999’s National Teacher of the Year by the PGA, one of America’s 50 Greatest Teachers by Golf Digest, and one of the Top 100 Teaching Professionals by Golf Magazine. 

 

– Ken Morton Jr.- General Manager of the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and President of the Association of Golf Merchandisers. Morton sits on the Golf Digest Hotlist Committee, in addition to running the No. 1 Green Grass facility in the U.S. with over $10 million in retail sales. Haggin Oaks is the only Green Grass facility in the U.S. to have earned 100 Best honors in all 24 years of competition.

 

– Mike Small- Coach of the University of Illinois Men’s Golf Team and winner of the 2005 National Club Pro Championship. Small was named back-to-back PGA of America Player of The Year (2006 and 2007), and has played in over 50 PGA Tour events, including 7 major championships. Small is a 4-time Illinois Open Champion as well as a member of the 1988 Big Ten Championship Team.
