Jim Clark resigned his position as CEO of Yakima products and the company has begun the search for a replacement. Clark will continue with the company through the middle of June to assist with transitioning his duties to Jay Wilson, Yakima’s CFO. Mr. Wilson will serve as interim CEO until a new CEO is brought on board. Mr. Clark will continue with his position as vice chair of OIA.

Mr. Wilson has been with the company for about one year and has held the role of CFO with Michaels of Oregon, a manufacturer and distributor of outdoor equipment and law enforcement/military accessories. He also held the combined CEO/CFO position at DTI, a manufacturing and assembly company.

“After working 20 years out of grad school without taking more than a week off, I have been given the opportunity to take some time off and spend some time with my children. You only go around once in life and this was a great opportunity to spend some time with them over the summer,” Mr. Clark said.

Many of the product and marketing strategies will stay in place along with the long-term vision. Clark told BOSS that after selling the watersports business and moving the company to Portland, that he felt it was simply the right time because the company has momentum and he will be leaving several months ahead of the 2007 planning cycle.
