Chrome Industries is continuing its support of Team Cinelli Chrome through 2015 after a surprisingly successful 2014 season when the cycling team placed first and second in criteriums in London and New York.

“Chrome owns our same vision of technicality and creativity and, furthermore, Chrome loves good music like Cinelli does,” said Cinelli President Antonio Colombo. “Together, we’re two ‘C’s’ coming together for one cause.”

Chrome designs and manufactures messenger bags, apparel and other gear for urban mobility at its factory in San Francisco. The company also operates stores in six U.S. cities where customers can shop, build a custom bag at a Chrome sewing station or just hang out and to watch videos, discover new music and view exclusive screenings of new films.

Team Cinelli Chrome saw big results in its first year, highlighted by a gold medal finish at the London Nocturne Criterium series.  It also saw two of its riders take the second and third place podium in the top event of the season, New York’s Red Hook Criterium, which led the team to a second place overall finish.

“We are beyond stoked to bring back Team Cinelli Chrome this year,” said Chris Silverman, President, Chrome Industries.  “We knew last year was going to be great, but we didn’t think it would have been as incredible as it turned out to be.  To have the whole team back together in 2015 shows the success of the program, the team and its chemistry.”

The team will also expand its roster by adding a few new riders to the mix this year, which will aid the team’s efforts as the sport, and both its schedule and competition, continue to grow dramatically.  With more riders and more races, the team will develop its calendar by adding the newest venues and events, which will enrich the 2015 season throughout both the United States and Europe.

“Having strong parent sponsors has been instrumental to the team’s success, since it lets riders focus on what we do best: riding. Cinelli and Chrome do an amazing job organizing travel, producing media content, and of course providing equipment,” said Neil Bezdek of Team Cinelli Chrome. “No question that we’re the best-supported team out there, and this only begets more success; a laid back atmosphere among riders that cultivates strong relationships off the bike, balanced with professionalism that spurs performance on the bike.”

In partnership with Cinelli, Chrome outfits the team with gear and gets them to the line, but the determination and intensity comes from the inside.  Throughout the 2014 year, Chrome released various special-edition Team Cinelli Chrome products, including: tees, backpacks, hats, and utility pouches.  The company’s products are designed to adapt to the changing and unpredictable nature of city life, the cornerstones of what Team Cinelli Chrome faces each race.

This season the team can count on an even bigger field of elite brands as prestigious supporters. We are beyond proud to announce that Giro, Continental, HED, Selle San Marco, Knog, Santini, ZeroRH+ eyewear and F.S.A. will be trusted companions of the Team Cinelli Chrome in this venture.
