Christy Sports, a ski and snowboard retailer, today announced the opening of a new location at 565 Village Blvd. in the Heritage Plaza at the base of Telluride Ski Resort.
The new store will open Dec. 9 and will provide high-end ski and snowboard rental equipment and demo packages to better serve skiers in the Telluride area. The store will also carry a wide range of ski and snowboard accessories, from helmets and goggles for protection, to gloves and neck gaiters for warmth. During the store’s grand opening on Dec. 9, Christy Sports will have a drawing for a new pair of skis and bindings valued at $1,100. The grand opening will be in conjunction with Mountain Village’s Jingle Jam event that will be held that day.
The Heritage Plaza location will be Christy Sports’ third location in Telluride. The new store is located at the base of the mountain next to chair four. With this convenient location, skiers and snowboarders will be able to pick up their equipment and walk to the chair lift for easy access to the slopes.
“Having a location in Heritage Plaza is about as convenient as it gets for customers,” said Troy Phillips, manager of the Christy Sport’s Mtn Village location. “Having another location in the mountain village core will help expand our brand presence and provide customers with the opportunity to demo high-end skis or purchase other skiing and snowboarding products just steps away from the slopes.”
