Chi Running certified its 100th Chi Running/ Chi Walking Instructor in the US, with over 155 Instructors worldwide. Since 1999, Chi Running — the original natural running technique — has helped hundreds of thousands of runners worldwide run faster, easier and injury-free. It has transformed running into a mindful fitness program, and helped hundreds realized their professional goals through the Chi Running Certified Instructor Training Programs.  “For every two US Instructors, there’s another one across the world teaching someone how to run and walk injury free. That’s really exciting,” says Danny Dreyer, Founder & President of Chi Running.  A full list of Chi Running and Chi Walking Instructors can be found at ChiRunning.com/Learn It/ Find an Instructor.

Chi Instructors go through a rigorous process to become certified in Chi Running and Chi Walking. All Certified Instructors and over 70 current Instructor Candidates have completed a three-month program that includes a home study course, practical experience and practice, and culminates in a four-day intensive workshop with a Master Level Instructor. After the four-day intensive, Candidates receive additional reviews, feedback and analysis while completing the final steps of certification.

This process yields a highly qualified team of Chi Instructors who are dedicated and passionate about helping others achieve their personal fitness goals and to run and walk pain and injury free. Certified Instructors can make a career out of fitness by teaching injured, beginner, fitness and performance runners as well as people who are interested in walking for weight loss, rehab, event and cause walking.

Danny Dreyer, along with over 155 Certified Instructors, teach sold-out workshops across the U.S. and around the world and have been featured in AARP, NPR, The New York Times, USA Today, Runner’s World and Running Times. The DVD’s and books Chi Running and Chi Walking by Danny and Katherine Dreyer are No. 1 sellers in their categories on Amazon.com. The Dreyers’ new book, Chi Marathon, published by Simon & Schuster, is due on shelves in early 2012.
