Chattanooga Shooting Supplies said Bill Sumner has been promoted from director of sales to VP, general manager of the Wholesale division, a new position, reporting to the CEO.

Chattanooga Shooting Supplies has also added the positions of category directors in its Merchandising group. Greg Chambers will continue to buy his current categories, will oversee much of its Optics business and add responsibility for New Business Development. Nick Evans will also continue to manage his current categories but will add categories with Daniel Talley and Nicholas Betancourt reporting to him. Talley and Betancourt are being promoted from associate buyers to buyers. The category directors will report to Tommy Hamn, CMO.

In addition, Ben Dailey who joined CSSI in January as director of inventory management will add Pricing and Special Projects and report directly to the CEO. Evans and Dailey joined Chattanooga Shooting Supplies from Cabela’s.

Finally, three managers have moved to the director level:  Jeff Autry, director of logistics, Andy Lee, director of information technology/services and Lauren McBee, director of human resources.

“These moves are being made to support the strong growth we have experienced in the last 18 months. They also serve our mission to be more merchandise and customer-centric and support an expanded sales team,” said president and CEO Ron Staffieri.
