Charles River Apparel promoted Jason Lipsett to CEO, marking the third generation of family leadership. The New England-based company also hired Lindsey Davis as VP of Sales and secured a licensing partnership with the NFL’s New England Patriots.
Lipsett, who was appointed president of Charles River Apparel in September 2024, succeeds his father, Barry Lipsett, who transitions to a senior advisory role. Barry Lipsett had succeeded Walter Lipsett, the brand’s founder.
“I’ve been leading the business day to day and guiding the company’s long-term strategy, so the transition to CEO feels very natural,” Jason Lipsett told ASI Media, which first reported his promotion. “That’s only been possible because of the incredible support of our team and the foundation my dad, Barry, has built over the years. My focus remains the same: building on that legacy, driving growth with our customers and continuing to modernize the brand for both today and the next generation.”
On LinkedIn, Charles River announced Lindsey Davis, formerly VP of sales at PPAI (Promotional Products Association International), as its VP of sales. She spent just over four years at PPAI. Previously, she was the director of promotional sales at Raining Rose.
Charles River, based in Sharon, MA, said in the post, “Lindsey brings more than 15 years of experience, deep industry relationships and a customer-first mindset that align perfectly with our values and long-term vision.”
The post also noted that Charles River Apparel’s COO, Bruce Barnet, was elected to the Board of PPAI.
These executive changes coincide with Charles River Apparel launching a direct-to-consumer website and a co-branded apparel collection with the New England Patriots, its first with the NFL team
