Chaco formed a partnership with Cabin-Time, a roaming creative residency to remote places. A behind-the-scenes look at Cabin-Time’s latest outing, as well as artist-designed custom Z/1 Classic sandals, are now available at Chacos.com/cabintime.
“Cabin-Time provides an opportunity for creative experimentation, adventures in landscape, and forever friendships,” said Geoffrey Holstad, co-founder and director of Cabin-Time. “To date, Cabin-Time has hosted over a hundred international creatives, off-grid, on eight different residencies around the United States.”
The most recent Cabin-Time residency, CT8, took place in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, where featured artists each designed their own pair of sandals through Chaco’s custom sandal program, MyChacos. Chaco customers can choose from several of the artists’ design recipes and purchase their exact creation, or further customize to create their own one-of-a-kind pair.
“Self-expression and creativity are core values here at Chaco, embodied by artists, designers, and adventurers everywhere. This partnership with Cabin-Time effortlessly blends those core values with a love for the outdoors, making this project a perfect fit for Chaco,” said Chaco brand manager Josh Weichhand.
Cabin-Time will showcase artwork from CT8 at The Garage Door Galley on the Sierra Nevada College campus in Incline Village, NV from October 5 – November 17, 2017.
