Chaco has been nominated as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Colorado for 2007, an established benchmarking tool for employers statewide which recognizes participants in two different categories: small/medium-sized companies (25-199 employees) and large-sized employers (200 employees or more). Winners will be announced at an award luncheon on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Belmar Center.

“It is a great honor to be selected as one of the best companies to work for in Colorado. The success of our company depends on the caliber and commitment of our people. I’m pleased they are receiving the recognition they deserve,” stated founder and President Mark Paigen.

Chaco strives to promote a balanced work ethic by paying its employees to bike to work, volunteer their time and advance their education.

This year marks the 2nd annual Best Companies event offered statewide in Colorado, and is modeled after Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America and other nationwide Best Places to Work programs administered in 15 states.

Each participating company received the results of its Best Companies Group employee survey, as well as a Workplace Practices Summary compiled by Modern Think. Employees rated their employers on workplace philosophy, practices, and systems.
