Cat Footwear announced the brands first ever
American made boot. Handcrafted in the USA by skilled shoe makers, the Liberty
work boot from Cat Footwear is built with a solid dose of American pride. Every
component used to make these rugged work boots and everything used to package
them has been manufactured in the United States.

Caterpillar, Inc, the global licensor of Cat Footwear has
been manufacturing the equipment that helps build America for more than 200
years. Its with a genuine can do American spirit that helped turn
Caterpillar into the company that helped move the earth and build roads. Now,
the same name that brought innovation and steam shovels brings you steel toes,
made the American way.

Every component of the boot and packaging has been
manufactured right here in the United States, says Cat Footwear Marketing
Manager, Kelly Ballou. We really felt that having an American made boot was
critical to our line because of our rich heritage. Manufacturing is what our
country was built on and we want to support that, even if we are doing it one
boot at a time.

The 8 Liberty features leathers from Minnesota, stitching
from Michigan, a sock liner from Massachusetts, laces from Rhode Island, a
steel toe from Wisconsin and a slip resistant rubber outsole from Missouri. It
is available in black and brown, steel and soft toe versions and was
handcrafted in the Wolverine Worldwide factory in Big Rapids, MI by expert
shoemakers. The boot offers consumers a solid dose of the Cat Footwear rugged
durability along with American pride, adds Ballou.

Cat Footwear is a division of Wolverine Worldwide.
