Cane Creek Cycling Components board of directors announced that the company's CEO Scott Sonnone left the company Dec. 17 and has been replaced by David Hall, who joined Cane Creek as director of operations in November 2011.

“We brought David on board for his expertise and effective operations skills and then were very impressed by the quality of his leadership,” said Chairman Brad Thorne. “His proven ability to lead has accelerated our growth and led to him being a natural fit as CEO.”

Prior to joining Cane Creek as director of operations, Hall worked in myriad of leadership positions for several notable companies such as Dillard Paper Company, International Paper Company and Deltec Homes, Inc. A lifelong cyclist known for his uncompromising approach to quality and keen client sense, David has the proven skills to achieve the vision of Cane Creek.

“When I joined Cane Creek in 2011, blending my background in operations with my passion for cycling and the outdoors seemed too good to be true. Fast forward 3 years and I have those feelings all over again,” says David Hall. “I am amazed every day at the passion, talent and dedication of our team. We aren’t the biggest kids on the block, but we maintain a velocity of development by balancing quality resources with a true esprit de corps spirit”.

Cane Creek plans to double its workforce in the next four years, adding 55 new workers. Commenting on what lies ahead, Hall said, “Our 5-‐year plan is aggressive but achievable. We are excited about the legacy products we support and the new products behind the curtain.”

Based in North Carolina, Cane Creek is employee owned and design, manufacturers and distributes a variety of premium bicycling components.
