CanCooker, a manufacturer of outdoor cooking devices located in Fremont, NE has broken ground on a new building, which will nearly double its existing size.
The new 10,000-square-foot facility being built adjacent to the current facility will be utilized as a warehouse and shipping facility and will add additional office space.
CanCooker began operations in 2009 with just two employees, the company owner Seth McGinn and his wife, Sonja. They had one product, the Original CanCooker, which was sold out of their garage. The company will now have 27,000 square-feet of working space with a continually expanding employee base. The company has a current line of nearly 20 products.
“This expansion has been long overdue,” said CanCooker President and Owner Seth McGinn, “We are very excited about the new facility and the opportunity it brings to all of us at CanCooker.”

They understand the importance of the company staying in Fremont and the amount of ancillary business that comes from our company. We are pleased to be able to expand in such a great community and offer more jobs and more business to the local economy.”
