Camelbak Shifts Away From BPA Bottles

CamelBak is converting its entire line of re-useable water bottles to a new material that is 100% free of bisphenol-A (BPA). CamelBak has teamed with Eastman and the bottles will now be made from Eastman Tritan copolyester.

The BPA-free Better Bottle with Classic Cap, will ship in early Feb. The Better Bottle with the patented CamelBak Bite Valve will transition from polycarbonate to Tritan with a complete changeover expected in spring 08. New colors of the Better Bottle with Bite Valve, introduced in Feb, will all be made from BPA-free Eastman Tritan copolyester.
