CamelBak and Mystery Ranch to Partner on Military Programs…

CamelBak agreed in principle to a strategic partnership with Mystery Ranch Backpacks to design and manufacture pack and hydration systems for the military, special operations, and elite tactical markets. Under the agreement, Mystery Ranch and CamelBak will co-design and manufacture a wide variety of packs with integrated hydration systems for the special operations community and other tactical operators. The U.S. military is already very familiar with both companies' work, given their regular collaboration to create systems that meet battlefield specifications.

Camelbak will be essentially designing hydration systems specifically for larger volume packs that Dana Gleason, president, designer, and owner of Mystery Ranch, will design. Camelbak will then use their manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. to mass produce these larger volume packs to fill orders from the military, specifically Special Forces.

“We couldn't have asked for a better partner,” said Dana Gleason. “The SPEC-OPS customers love our NICE frame, Outamatic X, BDSB and custom, mission-specific designs. However, they are also loyal CamelBak users because of CamelBak's proven designs, anti-microbial reservoir technology, rugged HydroLink components, and chem bio resistant systems. The design possibilities are now endless.”

Mystery Ranch is headquartered in Bozeman, MT and, when necessary, performs additional contract production in Colorado. For U.S. government contracts, CamelBak uses a wide variety of American manufacturers and can leverage these large-scale, U.S. production capabilities to meet almost any customer requirement.

CamelBak and Mystery Ranch to Partner on Military Programs

CamelBak Products, LLC has agreed in principle to a strategic partnership with Mystery Ranch Backpacks to design and manufacture pack and hydration systems for the military, special operations and elite tactical markets.

“I was extremely pleased when I learned these two companies would be working together so closely,” said U.S. Senator Conrad Burns (R-MT). “Not only will our Armed Forces benefit from Mystery Ranch and CamelBak's vast experience and commitment to quality, but so will American workers. By sustaining U.S. jobs and providing necessary equipment to our fighting men and women, everybody wins. This is the type of industry relationship I truly enjoy supporting.”

CamelBak is the world's largest producer of small- to medium-sized tactical packs with integrated hydration, while Mystery Ranch is known throughout the U.S. Special Forces community for revolutionary large pack designs and ergonomic, combat load bearing systems.

“We couldn't have asked for a better partner,” said Dana Gleason, Mystery Ranch's president and designer. For U.S. government contracts, CamelBak uses a wide variety of American manufacturers and can leverage these large-scale, U.S. production capabilities to meet almost any customer requirement. Hence, both companies are able to deliver quality, 'Made In America' products to the U.S. government in accordance with current procurement regulations.

“This agreement brings together two companies that understand the complex world of pack design, military and tactical end users, and hydration on-the- move,” said Glenn Gross, CEO and president of CamelBak Products. “CamelBak's cutting edge hydration technology and diverse manufacturing capabilities, combined with Mystery Ranch's unique and revolutionary designs, will provide soldiers and special operations personnel with the best equipment available.”
