Cabela's confirmed that it will launch a co-branded line of merino wool apparel this fall with Icebreaker as reported by The B.O.S.S. Report June 11.

The retailer said the line of men's and women's apparel will be co-branded as Cabela’s + Icebreaker and sold exclusively in Cabela’s U.S. retail stores and online at www.cabelas.com.

New Zealand-based Icebreaker helped establish the crediblity of merino wool as a legitimate outdoor performance fabric that not only has excellent insulation qualities, but provides breathability, prevents overheating and clamminess, retains body heat when wet and – unlike synthetics – is naturally odor-resistant.

The Cabela’s + Icebreaker collection consists of base-, first- and mid-layers and accessories for men and women that combine Icebreaker’s superior lightweight, soft, superfine merino fabrics with Cabela’s legendary garment construction.

The men's collection will include:

  • Base Layer Half-Zip Top & Bottoms with Thermal Zone layers that use three weights of fabric depending on the area’s heat-retention needs (MSRP: $129);
  • Relaxed Boxer Briefs constructed with itch-free merino wool that naturally resists odors and Lycra ultra-breathable construction for wicking moisture (MSRP: $39);
  • First-Layer SS Crew ultra-lightweight short-sleeve T-shirts with moisture-wicking performance for warmth in cold conditions and coolness in warm conditions (MSRP: $69);
  • Liner Gloves made of breathable, moisture-wicking merino wool with a touch of Lycra for stretch and increased dexterity (MSRP: $25); and
  • Beanie,  a lightweight and breathable cap with extra camouflage concealment (MSRP: $26).

Women’s products include:

  • Thermal Zone LS Crew & Tights built from three different weights of merino fabric for itch-free zoned thermal regulation (MSRP: $129); and
  • First Layer LS Scoop constructed from a fine-textured merino wool designed for next-to-skin wear with elasticity that allows full range of motion (MSRP: $85)
