
Burlebo, the Austin, TX-based performance lifestyle brand, has hired James Mohan as head of design.
Burlebo said Mohan has “decades of experience leading innovation at some of the world’s most influential performance and lifestyle brands.”
For the last 14 years, Mohan has fronted his own design company, Mohan Design, specializing in apparel design and brand initiatives. He has also worked on a contract basis for notable industry brands.
Recent roles and assignments include Entrepreneur/Co-founder of SquidTek, Inc. from July 2022 to February 2025; head of design (contract), Aspen Skiing Company, from December 2022 to June 2023; chief design officer (contract), Forloh, Inc. from May 2019 to April 2021; and senior design director, Global Apparel, Asics America, May 2017 to December 2018.
Other roles include head of design and brand (contract), Endeavor Athletic from November 2014 to March 2017; design consultant, Sport Obermeyer from October 2014 to January 2017; global senior designer, Nike, from October 2012 to October 2014; lead designer/consultant, technical outerwear, Dakine, from January 2012 to October 2012; senior design manager, Under Armour from March 2009 to December 2011; and senior designer/art director, Spyder Active Sports from June 2007 to May 2009.
